Download Java for OS X 2017-001. Java for macOS 2017-001 installs the legacy Java 6 runtime for macOS 10.13 High Sierra, macOS 10.12 Sierra, macOS 10.11 El Capitan, macOS 10.10 Yosemite, macOS 10.9 Mavericks, macOS 10.8 Mountain Lion, and macOS 10.7 Lion. This package is exclusively intended for support of legacy software and installs. When I open the Minecraft launcher, it asks with which application I want to open it. However, Java is not an option and I don't know any other way of opening it. On my old laptop (MacBook air), I simply downloaded the application, with the latest version of Java, and the launcher opened with no problems. Type the command –jar c: path to jar file.jar in the Command Line window and hit Enter to continue. Please replace the c: path to jar file.jar with the actual path and file title of the JAR you need to run in Windows. Then, it will open the executable JAR file so long as it contains manifest file to specify the applications entry point.

Description
jPortable Launcher 64-bit allows you to easily run Java JARs using the Java Virtual Machine installed on your PortableApps.com-enabled device using OpenJDK JRE 32-bit or jPortable 32-bit. It can also use the JRE within OpenJDK 32-bit or jdkPortable 32-bit. It can be installed into the PortableApps.com Menu where, when it is run, it will prompt you to select a JAR file to run. It can also be run directly by dragging and dropping a JAR file onto the JavaPortableLauncher.exe file.

jPortable Launcher does not portablize the settings of all your Java programs within JAR files. Some JAR apps will either store their settings alongside the JAR or provide an option to store the settings portably. Other JAR apps will look to the user.home setting and store data there. The launcher configures these to use your portable device for settings storage.

- Click 'Install thinkorswim' above to automatically select the installer appropriate for your operating system and click 'Run'. The download may take anywhere from a couple of minutes to half an hour depending upon the speed of your Internet connection.

Note: You do not need to install any other software. A Java virtual machine is included with this download. If you are updating your 32-bit installation to 64-bit, the installer will automatically detect your old installation and retain your existing settings. No manual intervention is required.
