Adjust Microsoft Lifecam Brightness
I installed Lifecam Cinema on my Windows XP computer. It works fine and I can adjust the brightness using the configuration panel on the accompanying software (Microsoft LifeCam). However, what I actually need is to adjust brightness while the camera is being used by my own program. Oct 07, 2011 Skype does the same thing as camera control (i use osx lion 10.7.4 and a microsoft lifecam studio), but in my case it doesn't matter, if i leave the app running or not! After i started Skype once, the exposure is fine in FaceTime, photo booth etc., also if i quit Skype before or during i use one of the mentioned apps!

I have a Lifecam HD 3000 and have turned off all the automatic adjustment options in the OBS settings. However, when I attempt to lower the brightness and hit 'OK' in the device selection window it reverts back to the default brightness. Once I go back into the configuration window for the webcam within OBS, tweaking the brightness bar even by one unit makes the whole picture darken to the desired level again.
I tested the same thing in the Lifecam software and it properly applies the brightness settings there, so the issue appears to be unique to OBS.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
